Basketball Recap: Eldred Victorious

Eldred won the last time they faced Livingston Manor, and James Deyermond did his part to make sure it happened again. The Eldred Yellowjackets snuck past the Livingston Manor Wildcats with a 48-42 victory on Thursday thanks in part to Deyermond, who went 10 of 12 on his way to 20 points and seven rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last eight games he's played dating back to last season.

The team also got some help courtesy of Koen McGill, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 15 boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

Eldred's record is now 5-2. As for Livingston Manor, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eldred will welcome Tri-Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tri-Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Livingston Manor, they will square off against Tuxedo at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
