Soccer Game Preview: Harlem vs. Byron

The Harlem Huskies will head out to challenge the Byron Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

Harlem is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to nine goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Boylan Catholic on Thursday. They lost 7-0 to the Titans. While losing is never fun, Harlem can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 201st, while Boylan Catholic are ranked 58th).

Meanwhile, Byron's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They won by a goal and slipped past Orion/Sherrard 2-1. Byron haven't had any issues with Orion/Sherrard recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Harlem has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-8-1 record this season. As for Byron, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3-2.
