Baseball Game Preview: Clark Chargers vs. Sierra Vista Mountain Lions

Clark is 0-10 against Sierra Vista since May of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Chargers will look to defend their home field against the Mountain Lions at 3:30 p.m. Clark is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.

Clark will bounce into Friday's game after beating Pahrump Valley, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Chargers came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 5-1 on Thursday.

Ryland Gregorich spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up six Ks. He has become a key player for Clark: the team is 5-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-7 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Clark saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sebastian Diaz, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Sierra Vista unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 7-3 to Legacy.

Austin Webb made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Tyler Tilton was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

Clark's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Sierra Vista, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.
