Baseball Game Preview: Shasta Wolves vs. Foothill Cougars

For the second straight game, Shasta will face off against Foothill. Shasta will face off against Foothill at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Shasta's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Foothill's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Shasta's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Foothill with a sharp 6-0 victory. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.

Landon Kidd looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

At the plate, Owen Boesiger was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. Ty Jones was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Shasta has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
