Basketball Recap: Destiny Chambers and Camri Hobbs Secure Win for Robinson

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Robinson on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 64-45 win over the Concord Spiders. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 68-26 back in January.

Leading Robinson to victory were Camri Hobbs and Destiny Chambers. Hobbs dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds, while Chambers posted 19 points in addition to six boards and five steals. The game was Hobbs' seventh in a row with at least ten points. Shariyah Rucker was another key player, putting up four points and four steals.

Robinson was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Concord only posted four assists.

Kaylin Williams and Natalie Nebrick certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Williams went 8 of 14 on her way to 21 points and three blocks, while Nebrick almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 boards. Nebrick is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted three or more in the last 15 games she's played.

Robinson pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.4 points per game. As for Concord, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Robinson will square off against Northwest Cabarrus at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Northwest Cabarrus will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Robinson surely won't give up without a fight. As for Concord, they will venture away from home to face off against Carson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
