Football Recap: Clark Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Clark's offense. They had to suffer through a 47-0 loss at the hands of the Whitney Young Dolphins. The Eagles lost against the Dolphins in their previous head to head back in April of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 14-8 score last time.

Maxwell Warner produced another solid effort rushing for 102 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, while also picking up 63 receiving yards and one TD for Whitney Young. Warner's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 102 rushing yards. Von Konrad was another key player, throwing for 151 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes.

Clark's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Whitney Young, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Clark will challenge rival Brooks at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Whitney Young is set to take on their familiar foe Amundsen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
