The Michigan High School Athletic Association football playoffs will soon be underway.

The championship games for Divisions 2, 4, 6 and 8 are scheduled for Nov. 29 while state title winners in Divisions 1, 3, 5 and 7 will be determined on Nov. 30. Finalists in Michigan's two 8-Player divisions will compete for state championship hardware on Nov. 23.

Ford Field, home to the Detroit Lions, will serve as the host site for all eight 11-Man championships while Northern Michigan University's Superior Dome will be the battleground for Michigan's two 8-Player state title contests.

Champions in 2018 include Chippewa Valley (D1), Warren De La Salle (D2), Detroit Martin Luther King (D3), Edwardsburg (D4), Unity Christian (D5), Lumen Christi Catholic (D6), New Lothrop (D7), Reading (D8), Morrice (8P D1) and Rapid River (8P D2). Lumen Christi Catholic will be going after its fourth straight state football title while Warren De La Salle will attempt to tackle its third straight state championship.
