Baseball Recap: Cherokee Comes Up Short

Cherokee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-5 to the Colbert Heights Wildcats. One positive for the Indians, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Mykel Goodloe was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing five bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases.

Cherokee's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Colbert Heights, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
