Soccer Game Preview: Spanish Fork vs. Wasatch

Spanish Fork is 0-10 against Wasatch since September of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Dons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wasps at 7:00 p.m. Spanish Fork will be strutting in after a victory while Wasatch will be coming in after a defeat.

Spanish Fork had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the four-goal drubbing they dealt Payson on Thursday. The Dons' defense stepped up to hand the Lions a 4-0 shutout. Given Spanish Fork's advantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Payson are ranked 83rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Wasatch didn't have quite enough to beat Maple Mountain on Thursday and fell 2-1.

Spanish Fork is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Wasatch, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
