Basketball Recap: Maple Shade Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Maple Shade unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 42-14 loss at the hands of the Florence Township Memorial Flashes. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Flashes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Maple Shade will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Burlington City at 3:45 p.m. on January 9, 2025. Florence Township Memorial and Princeton Day will compete for holiday cheer at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
