High school volleyball national hitting leaders: Myah Favre, Kari Knotts near the top of the list

Brett Favre's niece leads country hitting.567 for Our Lady Academy while freshman Lovett tied for eighth at .499.

According to statistics submitted to MaxPreps, Myah Favre of Our Lady Academy (Bay St. Louis, Miss.) is high school volleyball's national leader in hitting.

The niece of Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre is hitting .567 on the season for the Crescents (33-3). Favre also is among the top five in the nation in kills with 454 in 91 sets.

Favre's teammate Taylor Henley also is among the hitting leaders as the sophomore is hitting at .504 with 354 kills. 

Preseason MaxPreps All-American Carson Caraway of Jackson Academy (Jackson, Miss.) is tied for eighth in the nation in hitting. She is hitting .499 for the Raiders with 471 kills.



Freshman Kari Knotts of No. 21 Lovett (Atlanta, Ga.) joins Caraway hitting .499. The 6-foot-4 Knotts helped USA Volleyball's U19 team win gold over the summer at the Pan American Cup where she earned MVP honors and the best spiker award.
