James F. Byrnes waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They claimed a resounding 72-27 win over the Boiling Springs Bulldogs. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead James F. Byrnes to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaida Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. James F. Byrnes is 8-1 when Johnson posts ten or more boards, but 3-4 otherwise. Ashlyn Evans was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.

James F. Byrnes was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Boiling Springs only posted five assists.

Boiling Springs' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makenzie Kinard, who posted 13 points. That was a full 48.1% of Boiling Springs' points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Akerah Morris, who had two points and five blocks.

James F. Byrnes has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Boiling Springs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. James F. Byrnes will square off against Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. James F.
