Columbian proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Mohawk Warriors 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tornadoes have posted against the Warriors since August 20, 2019.

Columbian was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-15, 23-25, 25-22, 15-10.

Columbian was led to victory by Emma Daugherty and Cam Haman. Daugherty had 14 digs and one assist, while Haman had ten digs and two assists. Madi Shriver also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Columbian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Mohawk, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-3.

Columbian has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Ashland on the 15th. As for Mohawk, they will venture away from home to square off against Upper Sandusky at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
