Softball Recap: Baker Comes Up Short

Baker lost to Destin back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Gators fell 8-5 to the Sharks. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ava Prytula made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Baker's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Destin, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-8.

Looking ahead, Baker is taking a road trip to face off against Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jaguars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Gators' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Destin, they will host Gulf Breeze at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
