Basketball Recap: Buffalo Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Buffalo walked away with it. They came out on top against the Glenrock Herders by a score of 59-51 on Thursday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 72-49 win last Friday.

It was another big night for Brady Engling, who shot 62% from the field to rack up 30 points in addition to eight boards and five blocks. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.3 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Cortlan Smith, who posted eight points and six steals.

The win was the third in a row for Buffalo, bringing their record for this year to 13-8. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Glenrock, Newcastle, and Glenrock. As for Glenrock, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

Buffalo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 37-32 loss against Wheatland on the 7th. As for Glenrock, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 59-44 victory against Newcastle on the 7th.
