Basketball Recap: Gateway to Health Sciences Takes a Loss

Gateway to Health Sciences was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-45 heartbreaker at the hands of York Early College Academy. Gateway to Health Sciences lost against York Early College Academy in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 52-21 score last time.

Gateway to Health Sciences' defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for York Early College Academy, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Gateway to Health Sciences will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Law Enforcement & Public Safety at 4:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025. York Early College Academy also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Cambria Heights Academy at 4:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025. York Early College Academy is facing Cambria Heights Academy at the right time seeing as Cambria Heights Academy is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
