Soccer Recap: Saranac Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Beekmantown, Saranac was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Mechanicville Red Raiders 2-1. This was payback for Saranac, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Eve Liberty and Kaelyn Smith scored both of Saranac's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Saranac has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3-2 record this season. As for Mechanicville, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.

Saranac didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 4-0 defeat against Beekmantown on the 12th. As for Mechanicville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 6-0 win against Newburgh Free Academy on the 12th.
