Football Recap: Del Sol Comes Up Short

Del Sol fell victim to Shadow Ridge and their airtight defense on Thursday. They were beaten by the Shadow Ridge Mustangs 52-0. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada football rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Mustangs are ranked second).

It was another big night for Aubree Davis, who threw for 229 yards and six touchdowns while completing 76.5% of her passes for Shadow Ridge. What's more, Davis also racked up 157.5 passer rating, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Jaylani Palmer was in the mix too, providing Shadow Ridge with two touchdowns.

Del Sol dropped their record down to 0-8 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Shadow Ridge, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.

Del Sol will square off against Sunrise Mountain at 4:30 p.m. on January 24th. As for Shadow Ridge, they will take on Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Shadow Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 27.9 points per game this season.
