Volleyball Recap: St. Paul's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

After losing to Central City the last time they met, St. Paul decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Bison with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on four straight.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-14, 25-21.

St. Paul got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zaya Lewis out in front who had 35 assists and eight digs. That's the most assists Lewis has posted over her last six matchups. Keislyn Poss was another key player, getting 20 digs and two assists.

Central City lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Skylir Fischer, who had 15 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Graham, who had six digs and two aces.

St. Paul's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Central City, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. St. Paul will square off against Lakeview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central City, they will challenge Elkhorn Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
