Donovan Catholic strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the Gloucester City Lions with a sharp 13-3 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Griffins also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.

Gylian Hixenbaugh spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Isabella Cino, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Olivia Kurth, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

Donovan Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 16-0. As for Gloucester City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.

Donovan Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 17-0 win against Rancocas Valley on the 3rd. As for Gloucester City, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-5 victory against Hammonton on the 3rd.
