Football Recap: Turner County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Turner County was the 20-14 winner over Lanier County when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Titans fell 34-30 to the Bulldogs on Friday.

Despite the loss, Turner County still got an impressive performance from Curtis Grant, who rushed for 204 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 71 yards and one touchdown. Grant has become a key player for the Titans: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 0-3 otherwise.

Drake Wolford was the offensive standout of the contest as he threw for 257 yards and three TDs on only 15 passes, and also rushed for 32 yards.

Turner County has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. Lanier County's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7.

Coming up, Turner County will head out to face off against St. Anne-Pacelli at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Grant and Donovan 'DJ' Colvin. As for Lanier County, after each having a week off, they and Irwin County will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. The Indians will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
