Soccer Game Preview: Berrien vs. Bacon County

Berrien is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Friday. They will head out to take on the Bacon County Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Bacon County took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Berrien, who comes in off a win.

Berrien's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Cook. Berrien have beaten Cook the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Cook has come to flipping the script.

Bryson Harper was the driving force of Berrien's attack as he scored both of Berrien's goals, bringing his season total up to five goals.

Meanwhile, Bacon County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Ware County on Tuesday, falling 5-1.

Berrien's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Bacon County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.

Everything went Berrien's way against Bacon County when the teams last played back in February of 2025, as Berrien made off with a 4-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rebels since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
