Baseball Recap: West Comes Up Short

West fell victim to Palos Verdes and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Sea Kings by a score of 1-0. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Sea Kings earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

Joey Campbell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

West's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-8. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Palos Verdes, their record is now 6-11.

Looking ahead, West will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Arcadia at 3:15 p.m. As for Palos Verdes, they are taking a road trip to face off against Redondo Union at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
