Basketball Recap: Sierra Linda Takes a Loss

If Sierra Linda was riding high fresh off their 64-35 takedown of San Luis last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sierra Linda Bulldogs fell 60-50 to the Copper Canyon Aztecs on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Aztecs: they've now lost five in a row.

Sierra Linda's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Copper Canyon, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sierra Linda will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Copper Canyon also won't see the court for a while: their next matchup is against Kellis at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
