Soccer Recap: Carthage Comes Up Short

After flying high against Central last Tuesday, Carthage came back down to earth. The Tigers lost 4-0 to the Glendale Falcons on Wednesday. Carthage have struggled against Glendale recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Carthage now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Glendale, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Carthage will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against McDonald County at 6:30 p.m. Carthage are facing McDonald County at the right time seeing as McDonald County are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Glendale, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Glendale face off against Grain Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
