Football Recap: Williamsville Bullets vs. Monticello Sages

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Williamsville can now relate to. They took a blow against the Monticello Sages on Saturday, falling 42-14. The Bullets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

Several Bullets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Matthew Miller, who picked up 91 receiving yards and a touchdown. Miller was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 55 yards. Williamsville also got a significant boost from Braddock Cates, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 119 yards.

The loss snapped Williamsville's winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 9-2 record. As for Monticello, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 9-2.
