After flying high against Delphi Academy on Tuesday, Legacy Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Lions fell just short of the Desert Christian Knights by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Legacy Christian Academy actually scored more points across those three sets (58-57), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-22, 15-11.

Legacy Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Desert Christian, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Legacy Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Beacon Hill at 3:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Desert Christian, they will be taking part in a tournament against Immanuel Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
