It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Crestview ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Milton Panthers 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Panthers two weeks ago, they had to take a 6-2 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Cam Cook, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one RBI.

Crestview's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Milton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crestview will welcome Madison Central at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Milton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Harrison County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Thorobreds/Fillies will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
