Baseball Recap: Clay-Chalkville Comes Up Short

On Thursday, the Clay-Chalkville Cougars came up short against the Gadsden City Titans and fell 9-4. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clay-Chalkville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nic Youngblood, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4.

Clay-Chalkville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Gadsden City, their win bumped their record up to 2-8.

Looking ahead, Clay-Chalkville will take on Leeds at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Leeds' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Clay-Chalkville's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Gadsden City, they will square off against Decatur Heritage Christian Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
