Basketball Recap: Montrose Comes Up Short

Montrose was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. The matchup between them and the Wheatland Mules didn't end well, with the Montrose Blue Jays falling 36-22. While losing is never fun, the Blue Jays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while the Mules are ranked 115th).

Montrose's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Wheatland, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montrose has already played their next contest (against Bronaugh), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Wheatland will venture away from home to square off against Halfway at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
