Basketball Game Preview: Brooklyn Hurricanes vs. Cuyahoga Heights Red Wolves

The Brooklyn Hurricanes will head out to square off against the Cuyahoga Heights Red Wolves at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.

Brooklyn is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 60 points on Friday, they were much more limited against Fairview on Tuesday. They were outmatched by the Warriors and fell 78-28. The match marked the Hurricanes' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Brooklyn had strong showings from Devin Hardwick, who posted 17 points and five rebounds, and Aiden Starr, who had six points. Hardwick's evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cuyahoga Heights, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 61-53 victory over Kirtland on Tuesday.

Brooklyn dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Cuyahoga Heights, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Brooklyn might still be hurting after the 68-42 defeat they got from Cuyahoga Heights when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Brooklyn avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
