Volleyball Game Preview: Allen Eagles vs. Martin Warriors

The Allen Eagles will challenge the Martin Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Allen is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Coppell. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Cowboys: they've now won four in a row.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-20, 25-11.

Allen relied on the efforts of Landry McRae, who had 17 assists and six digs, and Emily Capangpangan, who had 14 assists and four digs. McRae has been hot, having posted 12 or more assists the last six times she's played.

Meanwhile, Martin made easy work of Richardson on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win.

While Martin won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-14, 26-24.

Martin's victory bumped their record up to 23-17. As for Allen, their win bumped their record up to 36-6.

Allen beat Martin 3-1 in their previous meeting back in August of 2024. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
