Volleyball Game Preview: Douglas County Huskies vs. Legend Titans

The Douglas County Huskies will square off against the Legend Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Douglas County is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Mountain Vista, who was ranked fourth at the time (Douglas County was ranked fifth). The Huskies lost 3-0 to the Golden Eagles on Tuesday. The Huskies' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Douglas County was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-22, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Legend was able to grind out a solid win over Chaparral on Saturday, taking the game 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Titans.

Douglas County's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 12-2. As for Legend, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Douglas County came out on top in a nail-biter against Legend in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
