Soccer Game Preview: Dixon vs. Woodland

For the first time this season, Dixon will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will host the Woodland Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Dixon was handed a three-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They never let Wood get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. Dixon wouldn't have won without Manuel Rico, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Woodland made sure to put some goals up on the board against Wood on Monday. They blew past the Wildcats 4-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Woodland were the better team in the second half.

The victory got Woodland back to even at 1-1. As for Dixon, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Everything went Dixon's way against Woodland in their previous matchup back in February, as Dixon made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
