Basketball Game Preview: Linden Patriots vs. Choctaw County Tigers

The Linden Patriots will face off against the Choctaw County Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Linden is looking for their season's first win.

Last Friday, Linden was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 47-42 to Marengo.

Meanwhile, Choctaw County can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They breezed by Johnson to the tune of 49-22. With the Tigers ahead 33-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Linden better keep an eye on Jarrod Chaney. He was instrumental in Choctaw County's win, putting up ten points, to go along with seven boards and six assists. Chaney has been hot recently, having also posted four or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Daylen Blakley, who posted nine points.

Linden's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Choctaw County, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.

Linden came up short against Choctaw County in their previous meeting back in January of 2020, falling 75-71. Can Linden avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
