Softball Recap: York Suburban Takes a Loss

York Suburban was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 20-3 to the West York Area Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 20-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

Celina Jones was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Molly Murray also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.

York Suburban's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for West York Area, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. York Suburban is set to take on their familiar foe Spring Grove at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, West York Area will face off against rival Eastern York at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
