Moriah is 10-0 against AuSable Valley since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Moriah Vikings will face off against the AuSable Valley Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Moriah knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matchups -- so hopefully AuSable Valley likes a good challenge.
Moriah is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Saranac: they outscored them in every quarter. Moriah put the hurt on Saranac with a sharp 60-39 win on Friday. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 21 points or more this season.

Cooper Allen was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 32 points and ten boards. His evening made it 18 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Joe Pelkey, who posted five points in addition to six assists and five rebounds.
Moriah smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, AuSable Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 62-45 to Beekmantown.
Moriah will have to contain Celton Dupis as he made an impact in AuSable Valley's last game. He went 7 for 13 en route to 15 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Blaise, who had 11 points and seven rebounds.
Moriah's victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.1 points per game. As for AuSable Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.
Keep an eye on the arc in Friday's game: Moriah has made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having averaged 8.1 three-pointers per game. It's a different story for AuSable Valley, though, as they've been averaging only 3.8 three-pointers. Given Moriah's sizable advantage in that area, AuSable Valley will need to find a way to close that gap.
Moriah was able to grind out a solid win over AuSable Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 57-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Moriah since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
