Volleyball Recap: Crosspoint Christian Takes a Loss

Crosspoint Christian managed to slip by Maranatha Baptist Academy the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Crosspoint Christian lost 3-0 to Maranatha Baptist Academy on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17, 25-16.

Despite the loss, Crosspoint Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Evie Mahoney had six aces. Mahoney is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Crosspoint Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Maranatha Baptist Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Crosspoint Christian will face off against Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Maranatha Baptist Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Westwood Baptist Academy on the 26th.
