Softball Game Preview: Sandpoint Bulldogs vs. Bonners Ferry Badgers

The Sandpoint Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Bonners Ferry Badgers at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sandpoint is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Sandpoint and Lakeland, and Lakeland kept the tradition alive. The Bulldogs came up short against the Hawks on Thursday, falling 13-3.

Sandpoint saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cadence Skibitsky, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Bonners Ferry was a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They lost 13-1 to Thompson Falls. The Badgers haven't had much luck with the Blue Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Bonners Ferry's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Sandpoint, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.

Sandpoint took their win against Bonners Ferry in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
