Softball Recap: Pleasant Home Comes Up Short

Pleasant Home managed to slip by Elba the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Eagles came up short against the Tigers on Tuesday, falling 15-1. Having soared to a lofty 24 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Pleasant Home has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Elba, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pleasant Home will square off against Florala at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Elba, they will take on Red Level at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Red Level's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Elba's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
