Baseball Recap: Woden Triumphs

After losing to Timpson the last time they met, Woden decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Woden walked away with a 7-4 victory over Timpson on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

The team relied heavily on Wade Stanaland, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Brayden Dichard, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Woden's record is now 10-4. As for Timpson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woden will head out to face off against Gary at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Woden 3.9, Gary 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Timpson, they are taking a road trip to take on Chireno at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
