Basketball Recap: South Salem Saxons vs. North Medford Black Tornado
South Salem lost to North Medford back in December of 2021, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The South Salem Saxons came out on top against the North Medford Black Tornado by a score of 64-54. While the Saxons didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
North Medford lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Easton Curtis, who went 7 for 13 on his way to 18 points. Curtis' afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Traeger Healy, who posted 11 points and five rebounds.
