Softball Recap: High School of the Future Comes Up Short

High School of the Future lost against Parkway West back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Firebirds took a 14-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the HOYAS. The Firebirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jaylynn Torres Green and Yurie Johnson did some serious damage despite the final result: Torres Green went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double, while Johnson went 1-for-4 with three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamm Shell, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

High School of the Future's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Parkway West, their record is now 4-2.

Looking ahead, High School of the Future will take on Freire Charter at 3:16 p.m. on Tuesday. Parkway West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
