Kern Valley is a perfect 3-0 against Laton since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Kern Valley Broncs will head out on the road to take on the Laton Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Kern Valley is leaving town to face Laton after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Kern Valley came up short against Windward on Friday, falling 10-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Broncs have suffered since March 19, 2024.

Kern Valley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Mead, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Laton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 11-1 to Santa Maria.

Kern Valley took their victory against Laton when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 17-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kern Valley since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
