League recap: Dunbar throws longest pass in league this season for Methodist Children's Home

TCAL Division I (6 Man) recap September 4, 2013

Fans got a thrill when Stanley Dunbar and CJ Taylor connected against Round Rock Christian Academy. The longest such play in TCAL Division I (6 Man) this season, the connection resulted in 68 yards.

Jeremy Dagerath of FEAST HomeSchool ran for the longest rushing play in the league this season against BVCHEA HomeSchool last week. Dagerath scampered for 70 yards on the play and finished with 148 on the day as his team beat the Mustangs.

Methodist Children's Home's dynamic duo of Dunbar and Jordan Phillips proved to be unstoppable against the Crusaders, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Dunbar threw for 480 yards and 6 touchdowns and Phillips had 131 yards receiving. James Conry helped Methodist Children's Home's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 122 yards.

The Bulldogs' dynamic duo of Dunbar and Phillips proved tough for Round Rock Christian Academy to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

He was 24-39 with 2 interceptions.

Marcus Ross was a beast in the backfield as Fort Worth THESA lost to Dallas Academy.

Phillips was the best wideout in the league this week as Methodist Children's Home defeated Dan Headley's team.

Cody Vega made the biggest impact on defense this week as Allen Academy topped Alpha Omega Academy. The 5-foot-7 sophomore.

Ross was the most successful running back in TCAL Division I (6 Man) this week. He ran for 442 yards on 26 carries as the Riders bested the Crusaders.

Dunbar put up the best numbers through the air as the Bulldogs defeated Round Rock Christian Academy.

Ross provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Fort Worth THESA lost to the Bulldogs. Ross' favorite target this week was Lucas Lay, who caught 3 passes for 111 yards.

Methodist Children's Home's Dunbar and Phillips have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Dunbar has thrown for 480 yards this season, while Phillips, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 6 catches for 131 yards. Dallas Burke's team's Ross leads the league in rushing yards with 442.

An important game coming up this the league this week will be when San Marcos HomeSchool takes on the Riders. The Panthers are currently in eighth, while Fort Worth THESA is in 10th.

Williamson County HomeSchool took down Hill Country Christian 46-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
