After a string of five wins, Oakman's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They came up short against the Elkmont Red Devils, falling 15-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 4-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2017.

Oakman's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Elkmont, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Oakman and Elkmont will both be playing Lauderdale County the next time they take the field. Oakman will head out to face Lauderdale County at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, while Elkmont will play them later in the day, at 2:30 p.m.
