Basketball Recap: Pulaski County Snags Seventh Victory in Last Nine Games

Pulaski County won the last time they faced William Byrd and things went their way on Thursday too. The Pulaski County Cougars snuck past the William Byrd Terriers with a 53-48 victory. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Terriers are ranked 258th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pulaski County is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for William Byrd, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
