Softball Game Preview: Ashland Clockers vs. Hopkinton Hillers

Ashland hasn't had much luck against Hopkinton recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Clockers will be playing at home against the Hillers at 4:00 p.m. Ashland has given up an average of 10.7 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Ashland came up short against Westwood on Thursday, falling 14-1.

Ashland saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katie Lymburner-Jensen, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hopkinton). They put the hurt on Holliston with a sharp 16-4 win on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Hillers as they're now sitting on five straight.

Hopkinton pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Ashland, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
