Soccer Recap: Christ School Comes Up Short

After flying high against East Henderson on Monday, Christ School came back down to earth. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Covenant Day Lions who were credited with the win on Thursday. The Covenant Day Lions got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Christ School Greenies' four. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Christ School of the 1-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Christ School's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Covenant Day, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Christ School wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Cannon on the 19th. As for Covenant Day, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Cary Academy on the 22nd.
