Soccer Game Preview: Palmer vs. Colony

Palmer is 0-7 against Colony since April of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Moose will venture away from home to square off against the Knights at 5:00 p.m. Palmer will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Palmer's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Grace Christian. Palmer's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Lila Petitt and Aelin Serencha scored both of Palmer's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, Colony faced Juneau-Douglas in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Knights came out on top against the Crimson Bears by a score of 2-0. The victory continues a trend for Colony in their matchups with Juneau-Douglas: they've now won three in a row.

Palmer pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. As for Colony, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.

Palmer suffered a grim 14-3 defeat to Colony in their previous matchup back in April of 2021. Can the Moose avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
